How to Retry a Payment After a CVC Error
If your payment failed because the CVC number was entered incorrectly, the transaction will not be processed. You can easily retry the payment by updating your payment methods and resubmitting it.
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
Step 1: Add a Second Payment Method
- Log in to your account.
- Navigate to the Wallet section.
- Add a new payment method, either:
- A credit or debit card, or
- A bank account.
Having two payment methods on file will allow you to remove the card that failed.
Step 2: Open the Payment Method Settings
Once you have two payment methods saved:
- Locate your preferred payment method.
- Click the Edit button.
You will now see all payment methods associated with your wallet.
Step 3: Remove the Card That Failed
- Locate the card that generated the failed transaction.
- Click the trash icon next to that card.
- Confirm the removal.
This will remove the card with the incorrect CVC from your wallet.
Step 4: Retry the Payment
After removing the failed card:
- Go back to the checkout page.
- Select your new payment method.
- Make sure the new card is set as your preferred payment method.
- Submit the payment again.
Your payment should now process successfully.
Tip: Before submitting the payment, make sure all card details are entered correctly, including the CVC code, to prevent another failed transaction.
