Who should I contact for a refund?

If you have questions about a refund, billing adjustment, or dispute related to your payment, you must contact your Association directly.

Zinc operates as the payment technology platform that securely processes transactions on behalf of your Association. We do not manage billing decisions, approve refunds, or handle disputes between residents and Associations.


Why do I need to contact my Association?

Your Association:

  • Issues the invoice or assessment

  • Determines the amount owed

  • Approves refunds or adjustments

  • Manages dispute resolutions

Because the payment is made to your Association, only they can review and approve refund requests.


What about card chargebacks?

If you paid by debit or credit card, your transaction is subject to the card network's rules. If you believe there is an error:

  1. First, contact your Association to attempt to resolve the issue.

  2. If necessary, you may contact your card issuer directly.

Please note that initiating a chargeback may delay resolution and may require additional processing steps by your Association.


What does Zinc do?

Zinc:

  • Securely processes payments

  • Transfers funds to your Association

  • Provides payment confirmation records

Zinc does not:

  • Approve or deny refunds

  • Reverse transactions without Association authorization

  • Decide dispute outcomes
