Board Member / Legal Representative Onboarding





If you’re on the association’s board or act as its legal representative, you may be the person who authorizes a new Zinc account for the property association. To do so, you must either be listed as a registered agent in Sunbiz or be an authorized signer for the association.

Step 2 - Property Association Onboarding - Board Member


Who invites you?
The Property Administrator (or Management Company) sends you an email invitation to get started.


1. Accept the Zinc Invitation

  1. Open the email titled “You’re invited to Zinc”.

  2. Click Get Started.

  3. Create a password, then verify your phone number to enable two-factor authentication (2FA).


2. Follow the Onboarding Wizard

After you log in, Zinc will show you a short wizard. Just follow each screen:

Enter:• First & last name• Date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY)• 9-digit SSN• Mailing address• Citizenship status (US Citizen / Legal Resident / Non-Resident Alien)• Country of birth & citizenship

Upload ID

Choose an ID type (Driver License, State ID, Passport, etc.).Upload clear images of the front & back (or passport page + proof of address).Wait for the Verified check mark.

E-Sign Consent

Read the disclosure, I agree, and continue.

Review & Sign Docs

Sign the required forms:• 3rd-Party Authorization & e-Business Agreement• IRS W-9• Beneficial Ownership Certification (BOC)• Service Agreement between Zinc & the Association


Why Zinc Needs Your SSN

Banks must meet federal Know Your Customer (KYC) rules before opening the two operating accounts for your association. Your SSN is the standard way to verify identity and link tax forms.

  • Security first: Your SSN is encrypted end-to-end, sent straight to the bank, and never stored on Zinc’s servers.

  • Zinc is PCI-DSS compliant and undergoes regular security audits.

3  What Happens Next?

Once all details are submitted and documents signed, Zinc’s banking partners review everything. Once the association is fully verified and the accounts are active, you'll receive an email confirmation.
